Logistics Manager


To provide the necessary support for the successful operation of transportation and launch of new FCA programs, we are looking for a talented and qualified Logistics Manager who will be responsible for all supply chain management duties including researching shipping methods, organizing storage by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties:

  • Primary Tasks Manage IBT/OBT transportation and its system
  • Design and evaluate IBT/OBT routes
  • Set up and updates new/modified IBT/OBT routes in the sap system.
  • Establish goals and action plans for continued reduction in the cost of transportation
  • Monitor IBT/OBT transportation performance (efficiency) and process to meet the goal.
  • Manage transportation budget and payment.
  • Confers with 3PL and internal management and other staff regarding transportation operation
  • Evaluate the cost impacts of transportation in case of new development or CN (Change Notice)
  • Manage plant industrial logistic engineeringOrganize and supervise plant logistic lay-out and equipment and container.
  • Manage WL project launch readiness of a logistic standpoint (layout/equipment/containers)
  • Manage the logistic teamPlan and evaluate team investment budget and expenditures.
  • Supervising / motivating / training / evaluating the team member
  • Performs other special assignments as delegated.

Education / Skill / Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering/SCM or related field.
  • 8 years of management experience in the related field is requiredTruck route design and shipment optimization by utilizing truck capacity through analyzing demand.
  • Familiar with part sequencing, kiting, barcoding and the importance of safe material handling principles.
  • Preferred at a Tier 1 supplier or OEM in assembly material handling/logistics and plan layout.
  • New product launch experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of proper ergonomics and safety standards in the automotive industry.
  • MS Office is a must; SAP MM/SD module or logistics optimization program experience is preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication for effective reporting to management, customer, and suppliers.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
