Senior System Architect/Administrator

Duties:

Responsible for developing business, data, systems, and infrastructure models to develop enterprise architectures. Develops plans for migrating architectures. Develops technical reference models to include hardware/software standards. Engineer’s integrated hardware and software solutions to meet mission requirements.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related field. A Master’s Degree in information technology is a plus.

General Experience:

Experience performing architecture related work on at least five (5) IT systems.

Specialized Experience:

Experience performing a significant role in all aspects of architecture related work on at least two (2) large IT systems.

General Responsibilities for Sr. System Architect/Administrator

The TO Contractor personnel shall:

  • Provide oversight and support for the design, implementation, development, maintenance, customization and integration efforts of MDOT SHA’s enterprise Internet and Intranet implementations.
  • Provide server management, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting support with a focus on planning, deploying and supporting MDOT SHA’s enterprise Internet and Intranet infrastructure
  • Provide technical expertise and advice to MDOT SHA staff and management;
  • Assist MDOT SHA staff in the preparation of documentation to describe new or changed processes;
  • Respond to information requests that business users submit through MDOT SHA’s Maximo Automated Help Desk Application
  • Respond to critical trouble reports encountered after regular business hours by MDOT SHA’s Network On-Call Personal
  • Respond to trouble reports or change requests (TR / CR Log) encountered by business users that are reported through MDOT SHA’s Maximo Automated Help Desk Application
  • Assist in research and recommendations on new technologies
  • Assist in the preparation and implementation of disaster recovery plans for various systems.
  • Create upgrade and migration schedules and plans that will minimize the impact on production and mission critical systems
  • Provide technical expertise and advice to MDOT SHA staff and management.
  • Assist the PM and BA in the preparation of documentation to describe new or changed processes.
  • Assist in research and recommendations on new technologies
  • Assist in the preparation and implementation of disaster recovery plans for various systems.

TO Contractor Personnel shall create upgrade and migration schedules with plans that will minimize the impact on production and mission critical systems.
